  3. Arrival

    Entry & permesso request

    Within 8 days of arriving you lodge the permesso di soggiorno request at the Questura. The kit is filed, fingerprints booked, and the receipt is your interim status.

  4. Permesso

    Residence permit issued

    The permesso is collected at the Questura, residence registered at the comune, and renewals tracked. From here the tax code, healthcare and the path to long-term residence open up.
